About Us

Like most of you, I have wanted to fly since a very young age. Also like many
of you, it never happened. School, marriage, kids, the job, and all of the other
excuses. Although I did work as a Police Officer in the Flight Operations Unit
with the St Louis Co Police Dept in both fixed wing and helicopters, I was an
observer so I was never really able to do any flying on my own. Since then, self
employment in a variety of industries has taken up all of my time without flying
private aircraft until a few short years ago.

I moved to the Mexico, Mo area in 2001 and had no idea what a Zenith was
until just a few years ago when I met Roger Dubbert, who most of you will
come to know as the builders Guru on the other end of the phone. He invited
me for a demo flight and I was hooked on Zenith and the idea of building.

It wasn’t until 2009, that my wife and I finally bought the 750 kit and began our
first project. This developed into a passion for building. Since I have always
enjoyed teaching (although I have never been a teacher other than Sunday
School), and I have always found helping others to be satisfying. I also like
being self employed, so, it seemed natural for me to start a builder assist
center.

Not to mention this one important point,
I live in the same town as Zenith Aircraft.

It didn’t take long for me to decide that this was an opportunity to do
something that I have loved all of my life but hadn’t been able to do for one
reason or another. So I contacted Sebastien Heintz (Zenith's owner) and I was
pleased to hear that he agreed with me that a builder assist center located
near to the Zenith factory would be beneficial for both me and the customers.

Now, besides working on my own plane, talking with, and helping others, I
also occasionally assist Zenith with their monthly rudder workshops where I
hope to meet you someday.
